Showings Inbox FAQs

How does this work if I have multiple agents or ShowingTime accounts?

To ensure Beacon receives showing activity for all listings, the unique Beacon email address must be associated with at least one agent profile connected to each listing in ShowingTime.

  • If you use a team profile: If a single team profile is assigned to all listings, you can simply add the Beacon email address to that one profile.

  • If agents manage their own listings: If listings are handled individually, each agent’s ShowingTime profile will need to include the Beacon email address so that showing-related emails are sent to Beacon.

As long as the Beacon email address is included on a profile tied to the listing in ShowingTime, Beacon will be able to receive and process the showing activity.

Will adding the Beacon email to multiple ShowingTime profiles create duplicate Showing Inbox events?

No - adding the Beacon email address across multiple ShowingTime profiles will not create duplicate Showing Inbox events, even for shared listings.

If Beacon receives the same email more than once, it will recognize it as a duplicate and only create a single showing event.

You can safely add the Beacon email address to multiple profiles without worrying about duplication.

Why aren’t my showing emails being captured?

Make sure your Beacon email address is correctly set up in your showing platform profile, your profile is associated with the listing, and email notifications are enabled.

What should I do if the Showing Inbox event is matched to the incorrect Beacon?

Please reach out to our support team at [email protected] with the details, and we’ll take a closer look to help resolve this for you.

Will past showing events come through?

Showing events will only be created for emails received after your Beacon email address has been set up in your showing platform.

However, you can manually forward past showing emails from your email to your unique Beacon email address to have those events created.

Can I edit a showing event after it’s created?

Yes. Open the Beacon and click the edit (pencil) icon next to the showing event to update any details.

Can I hide or delete a showing event?

Yes. Open the Beacon and:

  • Use the eye icon to hide the event

  • Use the trash icon to delete it

Why aren’t my showing events showing up on my report?

Showing events are automatically created in Beacon, but you’ll need to publish the report for those updates to be visible to your seller.

If I create a Beacon after a Showing Inbox event comes through, will it match?

Yes. Once you create a Beacon, any previously unmatched showing events will be added to the appropriate Beacon.

Please allow a few minutes after creating the Beacon for those showing events to appear.

What showing events appear in Beacon?

Beacon ingests and automatically adds the following events to your Beacon:

  • Showing Confirmed

  • Showing Feedback Received

  • Showing Rescheduled

  • Showing Cancelled

The following events are also ingested but are not added to the Beacon, as they are not relevant for seller-facing reporting:

  • Showing Requested

  • Showing Feedback Requested
